Counselling

Counselling gives you space to make sense of what’s going on underneath the surface; the thoughts, feelings, behaviours and patterns that can be hard to untangle alone.

We can support you with:

  • Anxiety, stress and overwhelm

  • Low mood and depression

  • Relationship difficulties

  • Grief, loss or major life changes

  • Self-esteem and confidence

  • Feeling stuck or disconnected

  • Work pressures and burnout

Sessions are one-to-one, confidential, and tailored to you. Some people come with a clear goal; others simply know something isn’t right. Either way, this is a space to slow down, breathe, and feel heard.

Life coaching is future-focused support for when you want momentum, clarity or structure in your life.

Coaching can help you:

  • Get unstuck and move towards meaningful goals

  • Build confidence, motivation and self-belief

  • Improve work–life balance

  • Make decisions you’ve been avoiding

  • Understand what truly matters to you

  • Create practical next steps

It’s supportive, encouraging and grounded in your values; not quick fixes or pressure.

Frequently asked questions

What kind of issues can I come to you with?

We support adults with a wide range of challenges, including anxiety, low mood, self-esteem, trauma, grief, life transitions, stress, and relationship difficulties. If you're unsure whether therapy or coaching is right for you, we’re happy to talk it through in a free initial consultation.

What’s the difference between counselling and life coaching?

Counselling focuses on exploring thoughts, emotions and past experiences. Life coaching is more future-focused and helps you work towards personal or professional goals. We’ll help you decide what suits you best, and sometimes, a blend works well.

Do I have to commit to a certain number of sessions?

Not at all. You can attend as few or as many sessions as you need. Some people come for just a few, others for longer-term support. We’ll regularly review how things are going together.

How do I book a session?

You can book directly online through our secure booking system or contact us via email or phone. We also offer a free 20 minute consultation if you’d like to meet us first and ask questions.

Are sessions in-person or online?

We offer both. You can choose what feels most comfortable. Many clients appreciate the flexibility of online therapy, while others prefer face-to-face. You’re welcome to switch at any time.

What happens in the first session?

It’s a chance to get to know each other. We’ll talk about what’s brought you here, explore what you’d like from therapy or coaching, and answer any questions. There’s no pressure to share more than you’re ready to.

Will everything I say be kept confidential?

Yes. Confidentiality is fundamental to our work. The only exceptions are if we’re concerned about your safety or someone else’s, in which case we’ll always try to discuss it with you first.

How much do sessions cost?

Standard session fees are £40 for counselling and £50 for life coaching. Concessionary rates may be available for those on lower incomes. Visit our Fees section or get in touch to discuss how we can help.

What if I start and realise it’s not for me?

That’s okay. Therapy and coaching are deeply personal. You’re never obliged to continue. We’ll support you to make the decision that feels right for you, even if that means signposting elsewhere.

I’ve had therapy before and it didn’t help. Can this still work for me?

Absolutely. Every therapist and every approach is different. We take time to build a safe, trusting relationship and work at your pace. Many clients tell us they find something here they didn’t find elsewhere.
